Chiropractic  is a complementary and alternative health care profession that focuses on diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system and their effect on the nervous system and general health, with special emphasis on the spine.  

It emphasizes manual therapy including spinal manipulation and other joint and soft-tissue manipulation, and includes exercises and health and lifestyle counseling.

The primary treatment method a chiropractic physician uses is the adjustment.  This is a light force placed over a joint articulation with either the hands of the doctor or specially built machines to help restore normal movement and function as well as remove any nerve irritation.  The treatment is highly successful for a variety of conditions including:  neck and back pain, headaches, arm and leg pain, dizziness, disc problems, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome as well as many others too many to list.
